New in Write Urdu

What changed

Write Urdu now includes 12 editable writing templates for common tasks such as leave applications, job letters, complaints, notices, payment reminders and invitations. The writing-template experience is available in both English and Urdu.

Why it helps

You can start from a useful structure instead of a blank page or an old document, then replace the sample details with your own information.

How to use it

1. Open Urdu Writing Templates.
2. Choose the type of letter, application or notice you need.
3. Replace the sample details, then continue editing or formatting in Write Urdu.

What changed

The microphone is no longer limited to the dedicated Voice Typing page. You can now speak Urdu in the Basic Writer, Rich Editor, Urdu Keyboard, Card Studio, WhatsApp Status Maker, Instagram Post Maker, Stylish Urdu Text and Urdu Name Art. My Documents also includes a Start with voice shortcut.

Why it helps

You can choose the easiest input method for the task — type with English letters, type Urdu directly or speak — without moving text between separate pages first.

How to use it

1. Open a supported writing or design tool.
2. Choose Speak Urdu or the microphone, then press Start when you are ready.
3. Review and edit the recognised Urdu text before you format, design, copy or share it.

What changed

Write Urdu now has an Urdu-language experience for the main writer, Urdu Keyboard, Rich Editor, Voice Typing, Urdu Alphabet, FAQ, Card Studio and the Urdu-on-photo guide. These pages include Urdu instructions, controls and supporting content rather than only changing the page heading.

Why it helps

If you prefer Urdu for menus and instructions, you can now complete the main writing and creation tasks without having to follow an English interface.

How to use it

1. Open the Urdu version of Write Urdu.
2. Use the language control to move between English and Urdu where a matching page is available.
3. Keep writing, formatting or creating in the language that is easier for you.

What changed

Optional accounts can now save writing from the Basic Writer, Rich Editor and Urdu Keyboard. My Documents lets you open, rename, make a copy, create a share link or delete saved documents. Voice Typing can also save a transcript copy to My Documents after you sign in.

Why it helps

You can return to important writing later or continue it on another device. Normal Urdu typing and public share links still work without an account, so signing in remains optional.

How to use it

1. Create or sign in to a free account when you want cross-device saving.
2. Choose Save to my account from a supported editor.
3. Open My Documents to continue, copy, rename, share or delete the saved document.

What changed

The main writer now leads with English to Urdu Typing and explains the input as English letters → Urdu. Labels and instructions no longer require you to know specialist language before you can start.

Why it helps

The page now describes the job in the same simple words people use when looking for Urdu typing: type Urdu words with familiar English letters and get Urdu script.

How to use it

1. Open the main Write Urdu page.
2. Type an Urdu word using English letters, for example mera.
3. Press Space to turn the completed word into Urdu script.

What’s new

The Basic Writer now has a clear Share action. After you confirm publication, Write Urdu creates a short write-urdu.com/s/… link with a visual preview instead of making you send only raw text.

Why it helps

Friends or readers can open a clean page, see the Urdu writing first, then choose to use the text, make their own design or create a QR code for the shared link.

How to use it

1. Write your Urdu in the Basic Writer.
2. Choose Share, then Publish & get short link.
3. Copy or share the new link. You can also delete links you created from the same browser.

What changed

After you have useful text, Write Urdu now shows a small Continue with… area with relevant next steps. Depending on the page, you can continue into the Rich Editor, Card Studio, QR Generator, Text Cleaner or another suitable workspace.

Why it helps

You no longer need to remember which tool comes next or repeatedly copy and paste your writing. The current work is carried locally between supported Write Urdu pages.

How to use it

1. Write, clean, speak or extract some Urdu text.
2. Look for Continue with… after the result.
3. Choose the next task, such as formatting a document or creating a card.
